1. (a) NFSL stands for the National Food Safety Laboratory. After collecting and testing food samples from capital’s market, NFSL finds the presence of unsafe level of pesticides in vegetables and fruits.

(p)  After reading the passage, I think the goal of the survey is to know the level of pesticides used in the foods in the capitals markets and make the people aware of it.

(q)  National Food Safety Laboratory, with support from the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) launched the survey.

(r)   I think, first of all we need to take steps to stop the use of these pesticides and then we need to take action against those who are involved in this type of activities. Last but not the least, we need to make people aware of the impact of adulteration on our health.

3. These contaminated foods are very risky for our health. Almost all the people who are engaged in these sectors from root level to the top level are engaged in food adulteration. They use pesticides to preserve the food for a long time. This evil practice has a negative impact on our health. We should be aware of this evil practice.
