I am Nazmul Hasan. I am ten years old.I am from Khulna. Now I live in Mirpur, Dhaka with my parents. I am in class four. I go to Monipur Primary School. My father is Abdul Awal and mother is Johora Awal. I like to play cricket in the afternoon. I also watch cartoons on TV. I study regularly.

I am Saikat. I live in Bogra with my family. There are four members in my family. My father is a banker. My mother is a teacher. I have a younger sister Keya. She is only three. She always takes care of us. The relationship among the members of the family is very good.

I am a student of class four. I have a daily routine. I get up early in the morning. I complete my washroom activities. After taking breakfast, I start for school. The Rainy Season in Bangladesh

Bangladesh is a land of six seasons. They are Grishmo, Borsha, Sharat, Hemonto, Shit and Boshonto. Among these seasons the Borsha or the rainy season is important one. The Bengali months Ashar and Shravan form the rainy season. In this season, they sky is always cloudy. Sometimes there is rain all day long.

The rainy season is very useful. Trees and crops grow well in this season. But it has some disadvantages. Sometimes, heavy rainfall causes flood which gives people great sufferings. However, this is my favourite season.

My Country

The name of my country is Bangladesh. Bangladesh becomes independent in 1971. Many people sacrifice their lives for the independence. Its area is 1,47,570 square kilometers. Its population is more than 16 crores. The country is full of natural beauties. Cox’s Bazar, Banderbans, Khagrachori, Srimangal etc attractive places. It’s land is very fertile. It also has natural gas and coal. We are proud of our country.

The cow is a domestic animal. It has four legs, two eyes, two horns and a long tail. Its tail is long. The main foods of the cow are grass and straw. The nature of the cow is very gentle. It becomes a family member in a farmer’s family. It is very useful. So, we should take care of the cow.

I’m Shuvo. I get up at 5 in the morning. I have my breakfast at 7 o’clock. For breakfast, I usually have milk, ruti, fried egg or vegetables. I also like to eat apples for my breakfast. But I don’t like to eat bananas. Orange juice is my favourite. And I like to drink it at least once a week.

I’m Samin. Yesterday, I went to the park with my family. We had some sandwiches and some fruit. We sat on the grass and talked for a long time. It was a beautiful day. The sun shone in the sky. After eating, I played with my brother and sister. We jumped and ran through the trees. Then we went home in the car. The traffic was heavy, so we were in the car for a long time! But it was a good day!

Sharmin is a garment worker. She’s 18 years old. Her family came to Dhaka from a village eight years ago. She works in a garment factory in Savar. The garment factory is two kilometres from Sharmin’s house. In the morning, she walks to work. Some of her friends go by bus, rickshaw or scooter. She works from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. She often works extra hours until 6 p.m. So she can make more money. Her family needs this money for food and other things.

A Rickshaw Driver

Milon is a rickshaw driver. He is 40 years old. He comes from Barisal. Now he lives in a slum in Dhaka. He works hard for his family. In the dawn, he gets up and goes out with his rickshaw. He pulls his rickshaw from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. He earns Tk. 500 to Tk. 600 per day. He often drives his rickshaw until 11 p.m. so that he can make more money. This helps him to maintain his family.
