3.2 Read the text in the box below. Then, discuss which part of speech all the names of persons, objects, and pets are.
In part of speech all the names of persons, objects, and pets are called “common noun”. A common noun is one which is common to each member of a class of persons or things.

Future Lies in Present
One day a cowboy with a few cows started to get them to the nearest field. On his way, he met an old wise man with an umbrella. He was a unique man. He used to give advice to the villagers. The villagers came to him regularly for advice. Seeing the man, the cowboy asked him for advice for his future. While talking to the man,
the cowboy lost his concentration on the cows and therefore, they got scattered (running here and there) in different directions. The old man smiled and said, ÒTake care of the cattle before you seek advice.Ó But the cowboy couldnÕt understand. ÒWould you please explain it,Ó he asked the wise man. The wise man told the cowboy that his present led him to the future.
ভবিষ্যৎ বর্তমানের মধ্যে রয়েছে
একদিন এক রাখাল কয়েকটা গরু নিয়ে কাছের মাঠে নিয়ে যেতে লাগলো। যাওয়ার পথে ছাতা নিয়ে এক বৃদ্ধ জ্ঞানী ব্যক্তির সাথে দেখা হল। তিনি ছিলেন এক অনন্য মানুষ। তিনি গ্রামবাসীদের উপদেশ দিতেন। গ্রামবাসীরা নিয়মিত তার কাছে পরামর্শের জন্য আসতেন।
লোকটিকে দেখে রাখাল বালক তার ভবিষ্যতের জন্য তার কাছে পরামর্শ চাইলেন। লোকটির সাথে কথা বলার সময়, রাখালটি গরুর প্রতি তার একাগ্রতা (মনোযোগ) হারিয়ে ফেলে এবং তাই, তারা বিভিন্ন দিকে ছড়িয়ে পড়ে। বৃদ্ধ লোকটি হেসে বললেন, ‘পরামর্শ নেওয়ার আগে গবাদি পশুর যতœ নাও।’
কিন্তু রাখাল বুঝতে পারল না। ‘আপনি কি দয়া করে এটি ব্যাখ্যা করবেন,’ সে জ্ঞানী ব্যক্তিকে জিজ্ঞাসা করল। জ্ঞানী লোকটি রাখালকে বললেন যে, তার বর্তমান তাকে ভবিষ্যতের দিকে নিয়ে গেছে।

3.8 The following illustrations are on the daily activities of Aria, a student of class six. In groups/pairs first, discuss and then sequence all the activities of Aria beginning from early morning to night. Then, describe them in writing using appropriate articles and pronouns. Aria is a student of class six. She gets up early in the morning. When the sun rises, she waters her plants. Aria takes breakfast with her elder brother at the morning. Before going to school, she puts her water bottle, tiffin, and books in the school bag. After getting ready, she goes to school with her mother. At the class, Aria participates in group work with her classmate. After returning from school, she plays with her friend in the afternoon. She prepares her homework at night.

প্রস্তুত হওয়ার পর সে তার মায়ের সাথে স্কুলে যায়। ক্লাসে আরিয়া তার সহপাঠীদের সাথে দলগত কাজে অংশগ্রহণ করে। স্কুল থেকে ফিরে সে বিকেলে বন্ধুদের সঙ্গে খেলা করে। সে রাতে তার বাড়ির কাজ প্রস্তুত করে।
